Made for
Pick where the video goes, and SceneMill sets format, size and frame rate: YouTube (1080p or 4K), YouTube Shorts, TikTok, Instagram Reels, Instagram Feed, Facebook, X / Twitter, Discord (kept under 10 MB) or GIF. Every setting can still be changed.
Format and quality
- H.264 MP4 plays everywhere; H.265 / HEVC MP4 makes smaller files; VP9 WebM is for the web; Animated GIF has no sound.
- Resolution up to 4K and the frame rate (up to 120 fps).
- Quality: Auto (constant quality), Medium, High, Custom bitrate, or a target file size that the whole file stays below.
- Use the graphics card to encode uses NVIDIA NVENC, Intel Quick Sync or AMD AMF where available: much faster. Without one, SceneMill encodes on the processor.
- Range: the entire sequence, or In to Out.
Sound and subtitles
- Audio bitrate, and Even out the loudness to −14, −16 or −23 LUFS.
- Burn subtitles into the video, or save them as an SRT or WebVTT file beside it.
Export queue
Add to Queue instead of Export lets several exports render one after another in the background while you keep editing. View › Export Queue shows their progress.
An export never replaces an existing file until it has finished, so a cancelled export leaves the old one intact.
