Titles, stickers and subtitles
Titles
- The Titles tab holds 76 animated titles: lower thirds, film titles, gaming, social and more. Drag one onto a video track above your footage, or double-click it to add it at the playhead. T adds a plain title.
- Select it and type your words in the inspector under Text. Font, size, color, spacing, outline, shadow and background are below.
- Letter Animation lets the letters arrive one by one in different ways.
- Animation › In & Out makes a title fade, slide or pop in and out.
Stickers and templates
- 55 animated stickers (arrows, call-outs, subscribe buttons and more) work like titles: drag, place, resize in the viewer. Stickers with words can be edited.
- Templates are ready-made sequences (intros, outros) with placeholders. Drop your own clip on a placeholder, or select a clip in the library before adding the template, and it takes its place.
Subtitles by hand
- Shift + T adds a subtitle at the playhead on a subtitle track. Type the text in the inspector and drag its edges to time it.
- The inspector sets the style of one subtitle or of the whole track.
- File › Import Subtitles and File › Export Subtitles read and write SRT and WebVTT.
Automatic subtitles
Timeline › Auto Captions (Ctrl + Alt + U) turns the speech into subtitles on your own computer: 14 languages or automatic detection, two layouts (two lines at the bottom, or 1–3 big words for Shorts) and seven word-by-word styles. The speech model is downloaded once. Step by step: automatic subtitles.
Subtitles in the export
The export dialog can burn the subtitles into the picture, or save them beside the video as an SRT or WebVTT file.
