Recording
Voice-over
- File › Record Voice-over (Ctrl + Alt + R). Choose the microphone, watch the input level and set a countdown of 3 or 5 seconds.
- Every take goes onto the timeline at the playhead, so you can keep the best one.
- Switch on Duck others on the recording so the music makes room for it.
Screen recording
- File › Record Screen (Ctrl + Shift + R). Record a whole screen, a window or an area you select.
- Set the frame rate, show or hide the mouse cursor, and record the microphone along.
- SceneMill can minimize itself while recording, and puts the recording onto the timeline at the playhead.
Windows asks once for permission to use the microphone. If no microphone shows up, check Windows Settings › Privacy › Microphone.
A picture from the video
File › Save Frame as Image (Ctrl + Alt + S) saves the frame under the playhead as a picture.
